User Experience: user testing keynote

User Experience: user testing idea 2

My next idea was to create a camera booklet with pull out tabs that the viewer will get to interact with. I went with a disposable camera to give it a generic feel to it that everyone could own. I have the tabs numbered so that there is no confusion of the sequence. Also the first 6 are on the front and in black and white then the last 6 are on the back and i color to speak to the excitement leading up to the getting to the museum.

Dylan user tested this book friday afternoon, he is not a artist but has an artistic eye and could give me some good constructive feedback.

he made it!!

Some of the things he found troublesome was not knowing where the images started, even though they were numbered. He said he wanted to hold it like a camera and it made more sense to have the number starting on the back. Also some of the pictures in the environment had changed such as the open flag on the apartment was not out cause it was not business hours. He also was not keen on the idea of the black and white to color why would both come out of the same camera and roll of film, and some of the slides are sticking as well..

User Experience: user testing idea 1

This was my first initial idea where I wanted to use strong photography to speak for the poetic side of a map. However to keep the viewer engaged in the experience I cut out little detail in each picture to have the viewer try to find what is missing and to take notice to something they may have over looked otherwise.

When Johnna tested this she thought that the images where nice and beautiful, however the size was kind of clunky and hard to handle and keep track of. She suggested a booklet form or something to help the viewer handle them. Also some of the images where taken in weird spots, like in the middle of the street, and why would i want my viewer to stop in the middle of the street? Johnna also spent more time trying to line the images up perfectly that it became more about the game of matching the experience the walk and beauty of the composition. Nice idea but need some other element to tie it together.

User Experience: Little Guilty Pleasures Ads

I wanted to play off of the beauty element of my product by placing it in a bathroom giving it a spa like feel. I did this photo shoot in my moms bathroom right by a huge glass block window for natural light.

This is my magazine add for ACME Little Guilty Pleasures drink mix.

I decided to add a coupon to my add so that it would incise my audience to purchase my product.

This is the magazine I would ideally want my ad to be placed
