I needed a clean unified lock up for the bottom of the posters and i think that this is successful, however it may be alittle big and i need the folly logo to break halfway down on one side.
These are my first round of poster explorations. I have been playing with different violin patterns and shapes. I have pretty much decided that this blue gray color works best for the background due to its interaction with the warm tones of the violins. As for the text i think that garamond has the qualities that i need looking professional with a sarif and clean. However after meeting with jamie i found that the hue of the red from the hot swing trio is to similar to the background color. Also the bickham script i used was considered tacky so i may just stick to garamond across the board.
This is my initial idea sketch and this fiddle tree is a tree as a fiddle there for it is a metaphor. I am planning on buying my violin photos off of istock to guarantee their high res and good quality.
