Book Crit

Through my book i wanted to take the viewer on a tour through the plaza through emotions and pattern.

Lavish- This page is a representation of the abundance of beautiful clothes and merchandise in which to indulge yourself with. I wanted my text to mimic or play off the ripples of the fabric.

Dazed- the page is meant to represent the overwhelming feeling the plaza may give some individuals. The plaza is a culture shock with the contrasting environment around it and with all of the exquisid elements people can get wrapped up in the atmosphere and forget where they are and their real life.

Restrained- This is a behind bars feeling in the image and line study. This illustrates a holding back feeling. One can not let themselves get wrapped up in the rich feeling and exquisid atmosphere. People need to live within their means and need to show some holding back or restraint. people need to show self control and not get wrapped up in the wealth and richness.

Longing- This can be wanting to live this ritzy life style and atmosphere the plaza gives his viewers. Or one can be longing to share this experience with someone else or maybe even longing to go home because the plaza is to foreign to ones normal life.

Exhilaration- The plaza gives off a very distinct feeling to its views. The plaza can take people out of the normal life or element and make them feel alive or reborn or rejuvinized. The can feel the need to change their lifestyle or even their wardrobe. One can also feel exhilarated to shop or buy new things tho fill their dressers with at home.

Trapped- The plaza is such a beautiful distinct area with its own atmosphere and characteristic which are so different from all the surrounding areas. So since it is such a beautiful place right in the center of a semi dirty rough urban city life full of poverty and crime. The plaza can feel like it doesn't mimic the city around it so one feels trapped into environment and safe beautiful environment. 

yearning- This can give its viewer a feeling of wanting more or where the road is going. one can also be yearning to stay here or to buy more things or items or to come back and not go home.
